Join me for a month of chess. Open to all St Mary’s students past and present.

Beginner classes are designed for 2nd grade and up. We will cover, the rules of chess, piece movements, captures and trades, checkmates, and basic opening principles. These classes will be held from 12pm to 3 pm June 3rd through 6th & June 10th through 13th. The charge for these classes is $75 a week.
Tournament classes are designed for experienced chess players interested in getting ready for the tournament season. These Sessions will cover the 12 most important tactics, common positions, and attacking the king. The charge for these classes is $75 a week.
Private lessons and small groups are done by appointment only and are designed specifically for the person or group: $40 for an individual or $25 per student in groups.
- For ages 3 - 6 years old, sessions will include stories, coloring, and counting.
- All other ages will learn on the board and be given a personalized lesson of tactic training, game reviews, and puzzles.
